Our Allies

Tribal allies

Dozens of Tribes and local interests have opposed the DOI’s approach to granting gaming lands to Scotts Valley in Patwin Territory since 2016. While the Department might try to say certain things have changed, nothing has changed, the facts remain and granting lands to a Tribe with no connection to Patwin ancestral lands is flat out wrong. Tribal governments that have expressed concerns to the Department of the Interior since 2016 include the following:

Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation

Kletsel Dehe Wintun Nation

Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians

Cachil Dehe Band of Wintun Indians

Pechanga Band of Indians

Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians

Karuk Indian Tribe

Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians

Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation (Smith River)
